Hi guys, just found all your discussions re Jools and thought I'd just say hi. I'm Sue, Jools' girlfriend. As the grapevine of how he's doing seems to have reached Poland, Ireland, the USA and the middle of the ocean somewhere, Im sure Jools doesn't mind you all knowing how he is. He had a brain haemhorrage on the 16th June and underwent major surgery. The surgeon told me and his mum and dad that he wasn't likely to survive the night. He wasn't counting on the fact that Jools is a punk, so Jools survived the op just to piss him off!! It was touch and go for the next few weeks; he was in a coma but eventually he opened one eye and then began to squeeze our hands when we spoke to him. As the weeks have gone by, he has gradually got better, but he's still in a fairly bad way. He's still being fed through a tube in his tummy and has to be hoisted into a chair. He's learning to walk again and has even been singing and strumming his guitar, although he's very weak and stiff. He can talk well but his voice is very weak and he whispers a lot. He knows who everyone who visits him is, although his memory of names is poor and his short term memory in general is weak. Lots of his friends have been to visit him and I'm sure that this has aided his recovery. On Monday 20th Sept he'll be moving from Hope Hospital to Cherry Tree near Stockport, which is a lot closer to home. I can keep anyone posted on his progress, and I'll tell him that you are all asking after him. As those of you who know Jools will know, he is a one in a million special person who doesn't deserve all this shit. However, I can assure you all that he still has a twinkle in his eye, a wicked sense of humour, and the snogging is fantastic!!! Thanks for caring, Sue x

Thanks for the update Sue!!! Damn, sounds like he is a bit of a fighter! I don't know Joolz, but love his music dearly. Please do keep us (me) posted on how he is doing! Glad to hear the snogging is just as good with you as it was with Blittz. That Joolz must be something! Tell Prince to watch out, eh???

Told Jools you'd all been asking after him and he said to say "Hi you all, how are you doing?" Sue

Please give him a massive snog from me, Sue, and tell him that I'll be up to see him on Saturday week - together with those other two southern poofters Pat and Colin.
Love to all of you up there,
Px

He knows you're coming, Paul. He moved safely to Cherry Tree today and I've just been to see him. Will pass on the snog when I go on wednesday, do you want tongues?
